I have just completed my Bachelor of Music (Performance Voice) at the University of Canterbury having completed a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) in 2020. I will study for my Honours in Performance and Composition at UC in 2022. My intention is to complete a Master of Music in Performance Voice the following year.
I have enjoyed performing from a young age and I play several instruments, Piano, Violin, Cello, Flute and Harp, gaining my Associate of the Royal Schools of Music in Voice in 2017. I was part of the NZSO Mentorship Programme under Associate Principle, violinist Donald Armstrong. I was a member of the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, Girls Choir, performed at the Sheldonian in Oxford and recorded A Ceremony of Carols on the CD “A Festival of Britten”. I was a member of the UK National Schools Symphony Orchestra from 2011 - 2018.
I have been a member of UC Chamber Choir, Consortia for 6 years. I have performed as Galatea in Handel’s Opera Acis and Galatea, ‘Belinda’ in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and have sung at the Liedertafel Male Voice Choir Christmas Concert. I sang a selection of baroque English works with a small ensemble at Christchurch Art Gallery and participated in several masterclasses this year, including Jonathan Lemalu and New Zealand Opera. I also performed in the Thursday Lunchtime concert series at the Transitional Cathedral with Daniel Cooper in July. I have been offered a place in the Christchurch New Zealand Opera Chorus for 2022.
In complete contrast my interests are diverse and I enjoy competing at National level in Aerobatics and Trampolining. I am working towards my Commercial Pilots Licence and I also thoroughly enjoy coaching at ICE Trampoline Club, Rangiora.
